ARCHITECTS IN ACTION

In January 2010 Christina F. Stevenson, Founder of Architects in Action, visited Peru to research conditions that the people in the barrios by River Rimac face. During her trip Christina observed that the need to enable the local environment and enlarge people´s choices was her passion for impacting social change.

"The goal is to get a holistic understanding of social, financial and environmental conditions. Making disaster prevention a priority is key to development of culturally sensitive mitigation projects. Being on the ground ensures that design solutions are connected to the people."
